Asymmetrical or Symmetrical - what does it mean? Print

Asymmetrical: your download speed is twice your upload speed. This is for regular consumer internet service.

Symmetrical: your download and upload speed is the same. Mostly used for business services or where you require the same speed when sending and receiving data.
